Jalander cantonment is the ancient cantonment of India which is constructed after the first Anglo-Sikh war in -1848.it has located near to Pakistan boarder so it has its own significance in all Indian cantonments. In 1920 Irish soldiers were let down the union flag and restored it by the Irish Republic from Jalander cantonment.It is the part of Jalander.
