Jak X: Combat Racing has met generally positive reviews from critics, and currently holds a score of 76 out of 100 on Metacritic. GameSpot gave the game 7.9/10 praising the game's graphics and online multiplayer system while criticizing the game's difficulty in certain modes. It was later added to the Sony's Greatest Hits section.
