JEC has been developed as a small township centred around Gokulpur and Ranjhi. It has a lush green campus of 255 acres (1.03 km2), rich in natural flora and fauna with Robertson lake as a background. The campus is well connected to the city, being 13 km from the Jabalpur Airport, 6 km away from the Jabalpur Railway Station and 9 km from the Jabalpur Bus Stand. A cafeteria called "Amraai" serves refreshments on campus. The other on-campus facilities include a State Bank of India branch, PCO and a post office. The sporting facilities include an athletic track, cricket field, football field, hockey field, basketball court, badminton court, 3 tennis courts and 8 volleyball courts. A multi station gymnasium, open air theatre having a capacity of 3000, two auditoriums, an on campus college dispensary, National Cadet Corps & National Service Scheme regional centres, alumni centre, common rooms for both girls and boys, Central Computing Facility, Central Computerised Library, Central Workshop. A new auditorium named "Jashan" has recently been constructed from the donation made by one of its alumni. The institute also served as the transit campus of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Jabalpur.
