• K. S. Sudarshan - He was the fifth Sarsanghachalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a Hindu nationalist organisation from 2000 to 2009.
• Ajai Chowdhry – Padma Bhushan, Co-founder & Chairman of HCL Enterprise & IIT Patna and Former Chairman of IIT Hyderabad.
• Sharat Saxena – Well known Indian film actor.
• Anurag Basu – Well known Indian writer, director of films and television programmes. He got admission in the institute, but did not join.
• Sharad Yadav – Member of Parliament, Chairman of Janata Dal (United) and former Union Cabinet Minister of Civil Aviation, Labour, Textiles and Food Processing Industries, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
