J is the tenth letter in the ISO basic Latin alphabet. Its normal name in English is jay /ˈdʒeɪ/ or jy /ˈdʒaɪ/; when used for the y sound, it may be called yod (/ˈjɒd/ or /ˈjoʊd/).
