The Peaceman Foundation
Sir Ivan is the founder of The Peaceman Foundation, a non-profit charity that battles hatred, violence and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). As its spokesperson, he dresses as a caped character named Peaceman. Sir Ivan has stated he was inspired to adopt the Peaceman persona after the homophobic murder of Matt Shephard, the racist murder of James Byrd Jr., continuous suicide bombings in Israel and the events of September 11, 2001. "Then the world finally woke up and realized that evil is evil, and that there is right and wrong, and there are the bad guys versus the good guys," said Sir Ivan.

Famous quotes containing the word foundation:
“If all political power be derived only from Adam, and be to descend only to his successive heirs, by the ordinance of God and divine institution, this is a right antecedent and paramount to all government; and therefore the positive laws of men cannot determine that, which is itself the foundation of all law and government, and is to receive its rule only from the law of God and nature.”
—John Locke (1632–1704)
