Recent Researches & Experiments

One of the most important researches on Isomaltulose is conducted by the FDA (Food and Drug Administrator) in 2008 to prove the claim that the substance won’t promote tooth decay. With evidence provided from companies that deals in isomaltulose production such as Cargill International and Beneo-Palatinat and various expert nutritionists, FDA started a review and fact finding process that ultimately come to a conclusion that approved the claim.

Various other researches about the substance from various different aspects have also been done worldwide. In Japan, a research on the safety of Isomaltulose as a consumable product has been conducted since the early 1980’s. A conclusion is reached in 1985 where Isomaltulose have been approved to be use in foods and drinks products. The correlation between Isomaltulose and blood sugar level in a human body regarding the topic of diabetes has also been a major interest amongst health nutritionists. In 2008 a research journal published by Nutritional Sciences Europe won the prestigious Hi-Awards in the Health Ingredients Europe Conference. The journal is regarded for the merit of discovering new scientific facts that proof the beneficial quality of Isomaltulose as an effective alternative to fight obesity, a health disorder that is slowly becoming a worldwide epidemic.

More recently, researches about Isomaltulose have been focused on the effect it has on a child brain and body development, especially children in the developmental stage (1-6 years). The main reason for this nature of research is the fact that children at these ages are experiencing significant changes in their cognitive development. Therefore, Isomaltulose is believed to be able to help optimize this process by being consumed regularly.

This particular topic has been a worldwide interest with Putra Malaysia University Medical Faculty being the latest ones that conducted researches on the subject. The Malaysian research result have shown that there is a significant rise in children cognitive and concentration ability after drinking milk enhanced with Isomaltulosa. This findings then added to the various research discoveries regarding Isomaltulose that has been found since the 1980’s.

Famous quotes containing the word experiments:

There are three principal means of acquiring knowledge available to us: observation of nature, reflection, and experimentation. Observation collects facts; reflection combines them; experimentation verifies the result of that combination. Our observation of nature must be diligent, our reflection profound, and our experiments exact. We rarely see these three means combined; and for this reason, creative geniuses are not common.
    Denis Diderot (1713–1784)
