Alleged FBI Spying
A convicted con man, Craig Monteilh, of Tustin, CA accused the FBI of running him as a paid informant in the Center from July 2006 to October 2007, and then reneging on its deal with him. He was instructed to attend daily prayers at least three times a day and to attend the Friday Jumuah prayers. His actions made the members of the Muslim community very uncomfortable. A restraining order was later taken out against him.

Famous quotes containing the words alleged, fbi and/or spying:
“The entire construct of the medical model of mental illnessMwhat is it but an analogy? Between physical medicine and psychiatry: the mind is said to be subject to disease in the same manner as the body. But whereas in physical medicine there are verifiable physiological proofsin damaged or affected tissue, bacteria, inflammation, cellular irregularityin mental illness alleged socially unacceptable behavior is taken as a symptom, even as proof, of pathology.”
—Kate Millett (b. 1934)
“Has anyone ever told you that you overplay your various roles rather severely, Mr. Kaplan? First youre the outraged Madison Avenue man who claims hes been mistaken for someone else. Then you play the fugitive from justice, supposedly trying to clear his name of a crime he knows he didnt commit. And now you play the peevish lover stung by jealously and betrayal. It seems to me you fellows could stand a little less training from the FBI and a little more from the Actors Studio.”
—Ernest Lehman (b.1920)
“My one and noble heart has witnesses
In all loves countries, that will watch awake;
And when blind sleep falls on the spying senses,
The heart is sensual, though five eyes break.”
—Dylan Thomas (19141953)
