Isenberg Fellows Residential Academic Program (RAP)

The Isenberg Fellows RAP is divided into two different groups. Students of the Business in Society Fellows will explore how businesses operate in and impact a community. It will highlight the social responsibilities that businesses have, including ethics and community service. The other group is called the Diversity & International Business Fellows, and these students will learn about the global and diversity issues that businesses are facing today.

Famous quotes containing the words fellows, residential, academic and/or program:

...I remembered the rose bush that had reached a thorny branch out through the ragged fence, and caught my dress, detaining me when I would have passed on. And again the symbolism of it all came over me. These memories and visions of the poor—they were the clutch of the thorns. Social workers have all felt it. It holds them to their work, because the thorns curve backward, and one cannot pull away.
    —Albion Fellows Bacon (1865–1933)

[The Republicans] offer ... a detailed agenda for national renewal.... [On] reducing illegitimacy ... the state will use ... funds for programs to reduce out-of-wedlock pregnancies, to promote adoption, to establish and operate children’s group homes, to establish and operate residential group homes for unwed mothers, or for any purpose the state deems appropriate. None of the taxpayer funds may be used for abortion services or abortion counseling.
    Newt Gingrich (b. 1943)

If twins are believed to be less intelligent as a class than single-born children, it is not surprising that many times they are also seen as ripe for social and academic problems in school. No one knows the extent to which these kind of attitudes affect the behavior of multiples in school, and virtually nothing is known from a research point of view about social behavior of twins over the age of six or seven, because this hasn’t been studied either.
    Pamela Patrick Novotny (20th century)

Texas is a heaven for men and dogs but hell for women and oxen.
—Administration in the State of Texa, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)
