Dismissed Allegations Against Peter Deeb
A hearing panel for IIROC has dismissed all allegations of wrongdoing against client interests by Peter Deeb, Chairman of Hampton Securities, after an investigation that has lasted for 3 years. IIROC could offer no proof of any wrong-doing by Deeb, and were often unclear about their allegations.
The three year investigation is widely considered to have been a misguided witch-hunt and has resulted in calls for IIROC to be reined in, and to treat their members more responsibly and with greater respect.
