Future
As of 2010, the idea of connecting I-675 and SR 400 has been resurrected, being put on an official list of GDOT priorities. This would extend I-675 north to I-20 with a surface road, then go underground with a road tunnel. This would displace some neighborhoods and industrial areas to the south. The tunnel would protect other areas with denser populations north of I-20, however there would still be ventilation buildings.

Famous quotes containing the word future:
“As the mother of a son, I do not accept that alienation from me is necessary for his discovery of himself. As a woman, I will not cooperate in demeaning womanly things so that he can be proud to be a man. I like to think the women in my sons future are counting on me.”
—Letty Cottin Pogrebin (20th century)
“Dark times is what they call it in Norway when the sun remains below the horizon all day long: the temperature falls slowly but surely at such times.A nice metaphor for all those thinkers for whom the sun of mankinds future has temporarily disappeared.”
—Friedrich Nietzsche (18441900)
“One merit in Carlyle, let the subject be what it may, is the freedom of prospect he allows, the entire absence of cant and dogma. He removes many cartloads of rubbish, and leaves open a broad highway. His writings are all unfenced on the side of the future and the possible. Though he does but inadvertently direct our eyes to the open heavens, nevertheless he lets us wander broadly underneath, and shows them to us reflected in innumerable pools and lakes.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
