In Asia the Asian Human Rights Commission holds regional events every year. Anti-torture networks in various Asian countries that still suffer from the widespread use of torture hold rallies and public events.

Situation of torture is so severe in India, Pakistan, Bagladesh and China in South Asia. It is observed that sometimes prior to condition of torture, illegal arrest become the primary step and policemen torture these accused because there were no official records about their arrest by police. A general view on torture can be viewed through all these factors. Situation in Kashmir has become worse. There are several organizations who are continuously defending human rights through their participation in advocacy, etc.
