International Cycling Film Festival - Guest Performances and Cooperations

Guest Performances and Cooperations

The first guest performance of the ICFF took place in the German Museum for Sport and Olympics (German: Deutsches Sport & Olympia Museum), Cologne, in 2011. Since this time regularly guest performances of the ICFF take place in the Centennial Hall (German: Jahrhunderthalle Bochum) during the festival “Bicycle Summer of Industrial Culture”, and in the cultural center Langer August in Dortmund in cooperation with the local Critical Mass. Guest performances of the ICFF normally contain a selection of films from recent years.

The Silesian Bicycle Initiative (Polish: Śląska Inicjatywa Rowerowa), Poland, is a partner of the Team Hollandse Frietjes and the ICFF since 2012. First guest performances in Poland occurred in Katowice and in Częstochowa in summer 2012. From 2013, a new prize for bicycle-related films – the “Black Crank of Częstochowa”, will be awarded to the best film of the upcoming regularly Polish meeting of the ICFF.

Famous quotes containing the words guest and/or performances:

Geez, if I could get through to you, kiddo, that depression is not sobbing and crying and giving vent, it is plain and simple reduction of feeling. Reduction, see? Of all feeling. People who keep stiff upper lips find that it’s damn hard to smile.
    —Judith Guest (b. 1936)

This play holds the season’s record [for early closing], thus far, with a run of four evening performances and one matinee. By an odd coincidence it ran just five performances too many.
    Dorothy Parker (1893–1967)
