Inter-School Christian Fellowship or Inter-Scholastic Christian Fellowship is a Christian youth ministry that works with high school students. Often it can be associated with groups such as a local church (such as those of large youth populations) or a scripture organisation (e.g. International Fellowship of Evangelical Students). Apart from Australia, ISCF also exists in other countries worldwide including Canada, United States of America, Philippines and Indonesia.
These youth groups are often voluntarily led by the older students (Year 11 to Year 12) of each school and usually have the support and guidance of an older mentor, youth pastor, or a patron teacher.. ISCF groups mainly meet during lunchtime.
Some typical activities of a ISCF program include:
- Talks by students and guest-speakers (e.g. pastors)
- Bible studies
- Singing
- Games
- Barbecues
- Camps
- Combined gatherings and socials with ISCF groups from other schools
There are various training courses available for students wishing to be better equipped for serving in ISCF. Examples include the annual "ISCF Leadership Conference" (Scripture Union NSW), and "Rising Leaders" (part of the Next Generation conference hosted by the Katoomba Christian Convention Center). Additionally, the Sydney evangelical organisation "RICE Movement" hosts an event called RICE Zone for high schoolers to support such ISCF communities on an inter-school basis
