Instituto Militar de Engenharia - Teaching and Admission

Teaching and Admission

The Brazilian Ministry of Education develops a periodical evaluation (both through tests applied on undergraduate students and infrastructure and faculty evaluation), and IME is usually ranked among the top three schools of the country in each of its Engineering specialties. The school's admission exam for its undergraduate program is famous for being considered one of the most difficult ones, and is usually composed of Math, Physics, Chemistry, Portuguese and English tests.

Famous quotes containing the words teaching and/or admission:

Give me the splendid silent sun
    with all his beams full-dazzling,
Give me juicy autumnal fruit ripe and red from the orchard,
Give me a field where the unmow’d grass grows,
Give me an arbor, give me the trellis’d grape,
Give me fresh corn and wheat, give me serene-moving animals teaching content,
    Walt Whitman (1819–1892)

Powerful, yes, that is the word that I constantly rolled on my tongue; I dreamed of absolute power, the kind that forces to kneel, that forces the enemy to capitulate, finally converting him, and the more the enemy is blind, cruel, sure of himself, buried in his conviction, the more his admission proclaims the royalty of he who has brought on his defeat.
    Albert Camus (1913–1960)
