Film Adaptation

In early 2011 it was reported that Academy Award nominated writer-director Paul Thomas Anderson (Boogie Nights, There Will Be Blood, The Master) would adapt Inherent Vice into a feature film. Famous quotes containing the words film and/or adaptation:

You should look straight at a film; that’s the only way to see one. Film is not the art of scholars but of illiterates.
    Werner Herzog (b. 1942)

The real security of Christianity is to be found in its benevolent morality, in its exquisite adaptation to the human heart, in the facility with which its scheme accommodates itself to the capacity of every human intellect, in the consolation which it bears to the house of mourning, in the light with which it brightens the great mystery of the grave.
    Thomas Babington Macaulay (1800–1859)
