Information Services Corporation of Saskatchewan - Statutory Officials

Statutory Officials

ISC and the Ministry of Justice share public policy responsibilities regarding each of the registries that ISC maintains.

Each of the statutory officials responsible for ISC’s various registries lie within the corporation. The Registrar of Titles, the Controller of Surveys, the Registrar of Personal Property Security and the Registrar of Vital Statistics are the statutory officials who are responsible for public policy programs related to the provision of registry services in each of their respective registries. These officials ensure that ISC’s services align with its legislative requirements.

Though the offices of the Registrar of Titles, the Registrar of Vital Statistics and the Controller of Surveys reside within ISC, each of them is accountable to the Minister of Justice in their roles as custodians of the provincial land registration, vital statistics and survey systems. With the transition of the Corporate Registry to ISC in October 2010, the Director of Corporations is another statutory official whose position is now within ISC. Like other statutory officials, the Director of Corporations, who is also the Registrar of Co-operatives and the Registrar of Companies, is dually accountable to the Minister of Justice and the Minister Responsible for ISC.

Famous quotes containing the word officials:

To name oneself is the first act of both the poet and the revolutionary. When we take away the right to an individual name, we symbolically take away the right to be an individual. Immigration officials did this to refugees; husbands routinely do it to wives.
    Erica Jong (b. 1942)
