Concept
Indigo Lodges searched for private properties around the world that stood out for their architecture, design, and location. Most were located in internationally known and sought after resorts but some were in remote natural areas. The villas could be contemporary or traditional but had to have a strong coherence in their interior decoration and an excellent finish. Properties came in all sizes from 1 bedroom to 23 bedrooms and with varying sizes of terrain. The company's objective was to make sure there was something available for every taste and for up to at least 12 persons where possible.
To ensure that clients benefited the most from their holidays, Indigo Lodges also sought out, trained, and supplied butlers and chefs to staff these properties. The emphasis was on personnel that was attentive but discrete: the service should not be seen or heard but only experienced in the most enjoyable manner. Daily cleaning was always included and the properties were run to the standards of each client: service would be formal or less formal as appropriate. Indigo Lodges was the only villa rental company offering a guarantee on the quality of its lodging and service.
Indigo Lodge’s clients were primarily from Europe. They were among the world’s most sophisticated and wealthy travelers and often were owners themselves of the types of houses they rented on holiday. They trusted Indigo Lodges to manage their holidays and to ensure their family and friend’s experience.

Famous quotes containing the word concept:
“The new concept of the child as equal and the new integration of children into adult life has helped bring about a gradual but certain erosion of these boundaries that once separated the world of children from the word of adults, boundaries that allowed adults to treat children differently than they treated other adults because they understood that children are different.”
—Marie Winn (20th century)
“Behind the concept of womans strangeness is the idea that a woman may do anything: she is below society, not bound by its law, unpredictable; an attribute given to every member of the league of the unfortunate.”
—Christina Stead (19021983)
“To find the length of an object, we have to perform certain
physical operations. The concept of length is therefore fixed when the operations by which length is measured are fixed: that is, the concept of length involves as much as and nothing more than the set of operations by which length is determined.”
—Percy W. Bridgman (18821961)
