Indianapolis Monthly is a magazine published in Indianapolis, Indiana. Founded in 1973 by Michael R. Levy, Indianapolis Monthly brings readers information on every facet of Indianapolis life, including arts and entertainment, fashion, real estate, business, dining, education, travel, politics, sports, plus up-to-date information on local Central Indiana events.

Through compelling storytelling the Indianapolis Monthly describes what makes the city of Indianapolis a great place to live. Each subscription includes two guides to living in Indianapolis: the Menu Guide, published annually in December, and The City Guide. Additionally the magazine strives to provide its audience with the latest trends and news. The magazine is owned by Emmis Communications, who bought the magazine in 1988.

Published quarterly, the magazine hosts its Monthly Home addition during the spring, summer, fall, and winter. Indianapolis Monthly Home reveals some of Indy’s finest architects, builders, interior designers and craftsmen.
