Indian Mall was an enclosed shopping mall located at the Highland Drive-Caraway Road intersection in Jonesboro, Arkansas, United States. It was located just north of the junction of U.S. Route 63 (future Interstate 555) and Arkansas Highway 1.
For more than thirty years, Indian Mall was the only shopping center serving its region. The nearby opening of The Mall at Turtle Creek in 2006 drew many tenants away from Indian Mall, including the Dillard's and JCPenney anchors. Indian Mall then became a dead mall, losing all of its tenants except for Sears, an insurance office and a GameStop which remained for close to two years. As of February 2008, the mall has been closed off except for Sears, and will be redeveloped.

Famous quotes containing the words indian and/or mall:
“This, it will be remembered, was the scene of Mrs. Rowlandsons capture, and of other events in the Indian wars, but from this July afternoon, and under that mild exterior, those times seemed as remote as the irruption of the Goths. They were the dark age of New England.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“A father ... knows exactly what those boys at the mall have in their depraved little minds because he once owned such a depraved little mind himself. In fact, if he thinks enough about the plans that he used to have for young girls, the father not only will support his wife in keeping their daughter home but he might even run over to the mall and have a few of those boys arrested.”
—Bill Cosby (20th century)
