Incredible Edibles was a toy sold by Mattel in the 1960s. It was a series of circular metal molds into which Gooble De-Goop, a candy-like gel, was squeezed. The form was then placed in a small oven and baked into a rubbery soft candy in the shape of worms and insects.
A later set (Kooky Kakes) was made to bake small cakes and decorate them with arms, legs, and faces. Gooble De-Goop and cake mixes could be purchased on blister cards as well as a few additional mold sets. The "Incredible Edibles" formula was created by chemist Don Lusk.
Famous quotes containing the word incredible:
“Unmeasured power, incredible passion, enormous craft: no thought
apparent but burns darkly
Smothered with its own smoke in the human brain-vault: no thought
outside; a certain measure in phenomena:
The fountains of the boiling stars, the flowers on the foreland, the
ever-returning roses of dawn.”
—Robinson Jeffers (1887–1962)
