Adventure Island Tampa Bay
- On September 10, 2011, a 21-year-old lifeguard was clearing guests from the Key West Rapids ride tower due to inclement weather. The lifeguard was struck by lightning and killed. No guests were harmed. The park had a system in place to give fair warning of incoming weather.
