Incarnation Catholic School - Mission Statement

Mission Statement

"Incarnation School is a parochial elementary school that exists to provide an education of excellence grounded in the truths and values taught by Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church to our community of students, while recognizing the unique gifts of each child. As co-educators with the family, the school community strives to promote in each child a sense of responsibility and respect for all humankind and the skills necessary to meet the challenges of our global community. The purpose of the school is to foster the teaching mission of Christ. All who minister here strive to make God incarnate through faith, knowledge, and love."

Famous quotes containing the words mission and/or statement:

... [a] girl one day flared out and told the principal “the only mission opening before a girl in his school was to marry one of those candidates [for the ministry].” He said he didn’t know but it was. And when at last that same girl announced her desire and intention to go to college it was received with about the same incredulity and dismay as if a brass button on one of those candidate’s coats had propounded a new method for squaring the circle or trisecting the arc.
    Anna Julia Cooper (1859–1964)

The new statement will comprise the skepticisms, as well as the faiths of society, and out of unbeliefs a creed shall be formed. For, skepticisms are not gratuitous or lawless, but are limitations of the affirmative statement, and the new philosophy must take them in, and make affirmations outside of them, just as much as must include the oldest beliefs.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
