Why Image Fusion
Multisensor data fusion has become a discipline which demands more general formal solutions to a number of application cases. Several situations in image processing require both high spatial and high spectral information in a single image. This is important in remote sensing. However, the instruments are not capable of providing such information either by design or because of observational constraints. One possible solution for this is data fusion.

Famous quotes containing the words image and/or fusion:
“Thou shalt not, it is said, make unto thee any graven image of God. The same commandment should apply when God is taken to mean the living part of every human being, the part that cannot be grasped. It is a sin that, however much it is committed against us, we almost continually commit ourselvesExcept when we love.”
—Max Frisch (19111991)
“No ... the real American has not yet arrived. He is only in the Crucible, I tell youhe will be the fusion of all races, perhaps the coming superman.”
—Israel Zangwill (18641926)
