History
Japanese essayist Jun Miura coined the term kuso-gē (クソゲー?, lit. "crap game") after playing the Famicom version of Ikki. Regardless, the game still sold reasonably well, and was one of Sunsoft's most popular products at the time. The opening animation was not included and the number of levels was decreased to half the original number in the Famicom version. The total game memory of the Famicom version is 24 kilobytes, which can compare with Super Mario Bros at 40 kb.

Famous quotes containing the word history:
“They are a sort of post-house,where the Fates
Change horses, making history change its tune,
Then spur away oer empires and oer states,
Leaving at last not much besides chronology,
Excepting the post-obits of theology.”
—George Gordon Noel Byron (17881824)
“Hence poetry is something more philosophic and of graver import than history, since its statements are rather of the nature of universals, whereas those of history are singulars.”
—Aristotle (384322 B.C.)
“Both place and time were changed, and I dwelt nearer to those parts of the universe and to those eras in history which had most attracted me.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
