Women's Rankings

The Women's 2012 ranking is based on the performance at the World Championships of 2012, 2011 and 2009 and at the 2010 Olympic Ice Hockey Tournament in Vancouver, Canada. For all years the points received is the shown at their full value. The "Total" column is the countries score after the previous years have been depreciated by their respected value. A dash in a tournament column indicates that the country did not participate.

1Japan withdrew from 2011 competition due to "force majeure," and was thus granted the points of last place in their division.
2Bulgaria, Turkey, and Ireland along with South Africa, Spain, and possibly Mexico were scheduled for a qualifying round, but as some nations dropped out, Spain and South Africa were automatically promoted to Division II Group B.
