IDT Racing Simulations

iDT Racing Simulations is a worldwide group of enthusiasts/drivers dedicated to developing the best racing simulation experience possible. They provide professional drivers with the tools needed to succeed as well as contribute to the online community.

iDT Simulations creates simulations based on the gMotor2 engine as well as free mods to the game rFactor for the sim racing community. iDT had announced that they would be making the Official Champ Car & Grand Am games, however funding for those games fell through and they have been released separately. The iDT mod team has already created & released many mods for rFactor including the Formula BMW, Fun Cup, & Gallardo Challenge but no one can forget the Champ Car Challenge mod that iDT created for F1 Challenge '99-'02 (F1C) back in 2005. iDT also provides professional services for private groups including Livery modeling and design, Circuit design, and racing event promotional activities.

iDT was voted 2007 Best Open Wheeler Mod at www.RFactorCentral.com, thanks to the release of the Champ Car LOLA season 2005-2006! Many other rFactorcentral.com awards have been won by other iDT circuits. For 2008, iDT released a 1995 IndyCar mod as well as the 2007 Champcar DP01 model. 2009 saw a re-release of their Champcar Challenge mod but for rFactor (original was F1 Challenge) and the 2007 San Jose circuit. 2010 saw the 2007 Las Vegas circuit, a 2009 update for Long Beach. 2011 work scheduled is for a 2007 Toronto circuit. Work on the Mazda Atlantic mod has stalled.

Famous quotes containing the word racing:

Upscale people are fixated with food simply because they are now able to eat so much of it without getting fat, and the reason they don’t get fat is that they maintain a profligate level of calorie expenditure. The very same people whose evenings begin with melted goat’s cheese ... get up at dawn to run, break for a mid-morning aerobics class, and watch the evening news while racing on a stationary bicycle.
    Barbara Ehrenreich (b. 1941)
