The Iago Sparrow (Passer iagoensis), is a passerine bird of the sparrow family Passeridae, also known as the Cape Verde Sparrow or the Rufous-backed Sparrow. It is endemic to the Cape Verde Islands, in the eastern Atlantic Ocean near western Africa.
