I Love College

"I Love College" is the debut single by American rapper Asher Roth, from his debut album Asleep in the Bread Aisle. The song was released on January 13, 2009.

The song is mainly about a college party that Roth attended while visiting Pennsylvania State University, but is also related to his experience at West Chester University in West Chester, Pennsylvania. The single, produced by Mike Caren and Ben H. Allen, was released in early January 2009. The track originally sampled "Say It Ain't So" by Weezer, but was reworked by Allen as it is believed that their lead singer, Rivers Cuomo, refused to clear the sample. The song also samples "10% Dis" by MC Lyte.

Famous quotes containing the words love and/or college:

Joy is prayer—Joy is strength—Joy is love—Joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls. God loves a cheerful giver. She gives most who gives with joy. The best way to show our gratitude to God and the people is to accept everything with joy. A joyful heart is the inevitable result of a heart burning with love. Never let anything so fill you with sorrow as to make you forget the joy of the Christ risen.
    Mother Teresa (b. 1910)

I never feel so conscious of my race as I do when I stand before a class of twenty-five young men and women eager to learn about what it is to be black in America.
Claire Oberon Garcia, African American college professor. As quoted in the Chronicle of Higher Education, p. B3 (July 27, 1994)
