I Come in Peace - Home Video Release

Home Video Release

After the film's theatrical run, it was released on videocassette and laserdisc in 1991 by Media Home Entertainment. A Region 2 and Region 4 widescreen DVD is available in Europe, Japan and Australia.

Although the film had a theatrical and home video VHS release in the USA, to this present day, it has not had an official Region 1 DVD release in North America, but a MOD (Manufactured On Demand) widescreen DVD from MGM Classics Collection was announced (on Screen Archives Entertainment's website) to be available mid-September 2011 under its original title, "Dark Angel". Currently, there is no announcement for a Blu-ray release.

The 1994 film Dark Angel: The Ascent is not a sequel to this film.

Famous quotes containing the words home, video and/or release:

... if there’s a house, then there is a wall ... between them and the outside world. The ideal is to stay inside and to never have to go out, and the whole idea of staying home is really important. I think men do get out, but it is not glamorized the way it is here in America, where the big story is to ride out and go someplace and to travel.
    Gish Jen (b. 1956)

It is among the ranks of school-age children, those six- to twelve-year-olds who once avidly filled their free moments with childhood play, that the greatest change is evident. In the place of traditional, sometimes ancient childhood games that were still popular a generation ago, in the place of fantasy and make- believe play . . . today’s children have substituted television viewing and, most recently, video games.
    Marie Winn (20th century)

If I were to be taken hostage, I would not plead for release nor would I want my government to be blackmailed. I think certain government officials, industrialists and celebrated persons should make it clear they are prepared to be sacrificed if taken hostage. If that were done, what gain would there be for terrorists in taking hostages?
