The G4GM (also called the 1.8 D) is a 1.8 L (1795 cc) DOHC engine with a larger 82 mm bore. Output is up to 130 hp (96 kW) at 6000 rpm and 126 ft.lb of torque (170 Nm) at 4200 rpm. Its first appearance was in the 1996 Elantra.
