Tragedy

The school experienced a tragic loss in the early hours of January 1, 2009 when a lower sixth form pupil was accidentally killed at Burgess Hill railway station. Branson donated flights and a week's holiday on his private Caribbean island for a raffle, the proceeds of which went towards the fund.
