Family

His nephew, brother Harvey's son, Jerai, who played college basketball for Clemson University, the same school that he and Harvey attended, is playing for the Australasian NBL's Sydney Kings in 2011. Horace Grant's other nephews through Harvey include Jerian, a sophomore for the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish men's basketball team, and Jerami, who has committed to play for the Syracuse University Orange men's basketball team in 2012–13.

Grant is also a great-uncle to Jerai's daughter, Halle.
