Extracurricular Activities
The school has had a strong chess team taking 1st place in the Northern California State Scholastic Chess Championship in 1993, 1995–1997, 1999, 2001–2003, 2005–2007, and 2010. Additionally, it won the 1996 National Junior High Chess Championship in Kissimmmee, Florida.
