Hong Kong Fringe Club

The Hong Kong Fringe Club (Chinese: 香港藝穗會) is a non-profit arts organisation whose mission is to help emergent artists to get started, promote Hong Kong artists abroad through cultural exchange and overseas touring, and conserve and invigorate Hong Kong cultural heritage. It is also a contemporary arts space that provides rent-free facilities for artists to put on their performance or exhibition. It is located in 2 Lower Albert Road, Central District. It is housed in a Grade-I heritage building, formerly the old "Dairy Farm" cold storage depot, built circa 1892 in a late Victorian architectural style. The facade of this building is distinguished by its brickwork known as Blood & Bandages.

Famous quotes containing the words fringe and/or club:

A lake is the landscape’s most beautiful and expressive feature. It is earth’s eye; looking into which the beholder measures the depth of his own nature. The fluviatile trees next the shore are the slender eyelashes which fringe it, and the wooded hills and cliffs around are its overhanging brows.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

Mi advise tu them who are about tu begin, in arnest, the jurney ov life, is tu take their harte in one hand and a club in the other.
Josh Billings [Henry Wheeler Shaw] (1818–1885)
