In 2003 Loyalists placed a pipe bomb at the entrance of the school, it was defused and there were no injuries. Since then, Holy Cross has remained quiet.

In 2003 a BBC televised drama called Holy Cross was made about the dispute, though it was filmed in Liverpool. Fr Aidan Troy, head of the board of governors of the school, expressed concern that the drama could reignite the problem.
