Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races - Table Games

Table Games

On December 5, 2009, a second referendum was held on table games and this time voters approved the referendum to allow table games at the venue. As of July 2, 2010, the facility, for years known as "Charles Town Races & Slots," was renamed "Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races" as part of a brand reimaging. It now features a 1930s Art Deco and classic Hollywood theme, as well as various table games like blackjack and roulette and a 50-table (combined) poker room on two different floors in two different areas.

Famous quotes containing the words table and/or games:

But hospitality must be for service, and not for show, or it pulls down the host. The brave soul rates itself too high to value itself by the splendor of its table and draperies. It gives what it hath, and all it hath, but its own majesty can lend a better grace to bannocks and fair water than belong to city feasts.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

Intelligence and war are games, perhaps the only meaningful games left. If any player becomes too proficient, the game is threatened with termination.
    William Burroughs (b. 1914)
