As of the census of 2000, there were 21,904 people, 10,428 households, and 6,298 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 4,070.1 people per square mile (1,572.0/km²). There were 12,788 housing units at an average density of 2,376.2/sq mi (917.7/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 95.13% White, 1.41% African American, 0.27% Native American, 0.90% Asian, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 0.85% from other races, and 1.37% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.03% of the population.

According to the 2010 US Census the population of Pasco county increased 34.8% to 464,697 residents. The population of Holiday, Fl also increased. Many people moved to Pasco County not just from around the country but also from Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties which border Pasco County to the south.

There were 10,428 households out of which 19.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.0% were married couples living together, 9.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 39.6% were non-families. 32.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 20.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.10 and the average family size was 2.61.

In the CDP the population was spread out with 17.3% children under the age of 18, 5.2% from 18 to 24, 23.6% from 25 to 44, 21.3% from 45 to 64, and 32.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 48 years. For every 100 females there were 89.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 85.9 males.

The median income for a household in the CDP was $28,028, and the median income for a family was $34,756. Males had a median income of $26,745 versus $21,848 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $17,722. About 8.1% of families and 11.4% of the population were below the poverty line, including 18.0% of those under age 18 and 8.3% of those age 65 or over.

According to the 2010 US Census income levels increased significantly in Pasco County and there were more residents in Pasco County with higher levels of education and skills including moderate increases in Holiday, Fl.
