Famous quotes containing the words vietnamese, relations and/or israel:

    Follow me if I advance
    Kill me if I retreat
    Avenge me if I die.
Mary Matalin, U.S. Republican political advisor, author, and James Carville b. 1946, U.S. Democratic political advisor, author. All’s Fair: Love, War, and Running for President, epigraph (from a Vietnamese battle cry)

When one walks, one is brought into touch first of all with the essential relations between one’s physical powers and the character of the country; one is compelled to see it as its natives do. Then every man one meets is an individual. One is no longer regarded by the whole population as an unapproachable and uninteresting animal to be cheated and robbed.
    Aleister Crowley (1875–1947)

Who is the LORD, that I should heed him and let Israel go? I do not know the LORD, and I will not let Israel go.
    Bible: Hebrew, Exodus 5:2.

    Pharaoh.
