The Jews in Guatemala are immigrants from Germany and Eastern Europe that arrived in the 19th century. Many immigrated during World War II. There are approximately 1,200 Jews living in Guatemala today. Most live in Guatemala City, Quezaltenango and San Marcos. The group of Jews are Sephardic. Today, the Jewish community in Guatemala are made up of German and Eastern European Jews.
