History Of Buda Castle

The history of Buda Castle (Hungarian: Budavári Palota, Turkish: Budin Kalesi, German: Burgpalast) is marked by periods of building, destruction and rebuilding in connection with the changing fortunes of the city and Hungary itself. In the past, it was also called Royal Palace (Hungarian: Királyi-palota) and Royal Castle (Hungarian: Királyi Vár, German: Königliche Burg).
