Club Career

In 2002, Kiyotake started playing at Katiora FC where he spent two seasons and in 2004 joined the Oita Trinita youth team. On 9 August 2008, Kiyotake made his debut for the senior squad. He made a substitute appearance in the 78th minute of the match and scored an equalizer a few minutes later. Soon Ōita Trinita faced some serious financial problems and the midfielder signed an agreement with Cerezo Osaka where he scored four goals in his very first season. In September 2011, he appeared in the first leg of the AFC Champions League quarter-final and made a brace helping his team to achieve a 4–3 victory. That success attracted a lot of interest to the player, so in summer 2012 Kiyotake signed for 1. FC Nuremberg. The agreement is valid till 30 June 2016.

Famous quotes containing the words club and/or career:

The adjustment of qualities is so perfect between men and women, and each is so necessary to the other, that the idea of inferiority is absurd.
“Jennie June” Croly 1829–1901, U.S. founder of the woman’s club movement, journalist, author, editor. Demorest’s Illustrated Monthly and Mirror of Fashions, p. 204 (August 1866)

Each of the professions means a prejudice. The necessity for a career forces every one to take sides. We live in the age of the overworked, and the under-educated; the age in which people are so industrious that they become absolutely stupid.
    Oscar Wilde (1854–1900)
