His first role as leading character was in the 2007 Bengali movie “Nabab Nandini”, directed by Haranath Chakraborty, opposite Koel Mallick. The film gave Hiran tremendous popularity. The film was a success and established Hiran as a popular face in the top league of Tollyville. After becoming star with his first film, he did not sign up for other films until he bagged the roles in “Bhalobasa Bhalobasa” and “Chirosaathi”. "Bhalobasa Bhalobasa" became a hit and people started calling him as the 'Chocolate Boy'. Thereafter he got critical plaudits for his characters in “Jackpot” and “Risk”. His "Macho Mustanaa" converted him from 'Chocolate Boy' into 'Macho' guy. He is known now the "Macho hero" of the Tollywood & he achieved "Eight Packs" for this film. His latest release “Le Halua Le” became a hit.
