Hillsdale is ranked 82nd of 650 schools, including 15th in the Midwest and 3rd in the state of Michigan, in the 2012 Forbes report of America's Best Colleges. It ranked 96th in the 2013 U.S. News & World Report listing of best National Liberal Arts Colleges. It ranks second in the Princeton Review's The Best 377 Colleges 2012 listing of colleges where students are "most conservative." As of 2012, Hillsdale is a member of Loren Pope's Colleges That Change Lives (CTCL).
