About

On February 16, 2000, the shopping center was recognized as a National Historic Landmark and the center was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 17, 1997. The center boasts several exclusive luxury stores in the Dallas market, including Carolina Herrera, Vince, Hermes, Loro Piana, Frédéric Fekkai, Chanel, Harry Winston, Escada, Tory Burch, Diane von Fürstenberg, Christian Louboutin and Texas's first Stella McCartney, Akris and in 2013 Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen.

The Village Theater, the first luxury theater in Texas, was built at a then-staggering cost of more than $100,000. In 1987, the theater was renovated and the screens were moved upstairs to create 11,000 square feet (1,000 m2) in retail space.
