Highland Park Middle School (HPMS) is a secondary school located in partially in Highland Park and partially in University Park, two communities in Dallas County, Texas, United States.
It is the only middle school in the Highland Park Independent School District school district. It serves most of the city of Highland Park, all of the city of University Park, and portions of Dallas.
The current principal, Laurie Hitzelberger, is principal of both HPMS and Arch H. McCulloch Intermediate School (MIS); the two schools are separate entities according to the district (HPMS serves Grades 7-8 while MIS serves Grades 5-6), but share the same building.
Previously the entirety of the McCollough Middle School property was situated in Highland Park.
In 2005, HPMS was named a National Blue Ribbon School In addition, when it was known as McCulloch Middle School (prior to the current arrangement) it was named a 1990-91 National Blue Ribbon School.
