Hialeah is located within Florida's 21st Congressional District. It is currently represented in the House of Representatives by Mario Diaz-Balart, a Republican. According to the nonpartisan Bay Area Center for Voting Research (BACVR) Hialeah, Florida is the fourth most conservative city in the United States. The current mayor of Hialeah is Carlos Hernandez.
