Hi-5, an Australian children's television program, was first shown on the Nine Network in 1999. Hi-5 is known as a children's pop music group as well as being a television show, much like peer children's entertainers The Wiggles. They also teach arts and crafts. The second version of Hi-5's Australian cast was announced on the Australian talk show Morning with Kerrie-Anne in February 2009. Hi-5 is least now shown in 80 or 83 countries.

The Nine Network has committed to five new seasons of the series, stretching the series' run to at least 2013. The Asiasons group (Asian production) acquired the rights to the TV show. This new production will include their full participation that encompasses licensing, production, tours and the commercial rights of Hi-5's trademark in Asian countries.

Each year, has 45 episodes with 9 weekly themes. But in 2004 (Series 6), was marked by reduced episodes than normal, were 30 episodes in 6 weekly themes, it would have concentrated more on tour. The same response for non-production of Series 14 in 2012, which will be for 2013.

On January 24, 2013 in Shopping Westpoint (Australia), was the first presentation of two new members, they call Mary Lascaris and Ainsley Melham. The new generation of Hi-5 series yet to debut in 2013.
