Humor
The game had plenty of cartoony humor. Your travels take you to ancient Egypt and the Amazon where you battle, among other villains, space aliens. At the end of the game when Hades is defeated it is revealed that he is really a giant robot, and the player's character is then allowed to wander through a recreation of a Lucas Arts Entertainment office where it's possible to see the men and women that created the game.
Every time the players die, they are sent down to Hades' underworld and needed to fight their way to the exit in order to get a chance to continue. The more they die, the further back into the underworld they are sent, making it increasingly harder to fight their way out. However, after the fifth death, it's game over.

Famous quotes containing the word humor:
“I made him a low curtsy and thanked him for the honor he intended me, but told him I had no kind of ambition to be his upper servant.... I then asked him how many offices he had allotted for me to perform for those great advantages he had offered me, of suffering me to humor him in all his whims and to receive meat, drink, and lodging at his hands; but hoped he would allow me some small wages, that I might now and then recreate myself with my fellow servants.”
—Sarah Fielding (17101768)
“All my humor is based upon destruction and despair. If the whole world were tranquil, without disease and violence, Id be standing on the breadline right in back of J. Edgar Hoover.”
—Lenny Bruce (19251966)
“When humor can be made to alternate with melancholy, one has a success, but when the same things are funny and melancholic at the same time, its just wonderful.”
—François Truffaut (19321984)
