Herbert Marshall (cricketer)

Herbert Menzies Marshall (born 1 August 1841 at Leeds; died 2 March 1913 at South Kensington, London) was an English amateur cricketer who played first-class cricket from 1861 to 1864.

Herbert Marshall was educated at Westminster School and Trinity College, Cambridge. A right-handed batsman who played mostly for Cambridge University, he made 15 known appearances in first-class matches. He played for the Gentlemen in the Gentlemen v Players series.

An artist, Marshall later became Professor of Landscape Painting at Queen's College, London.
